There's a moment in every flow painting when you stop being the artist and start being the witness. You pour the paint, tilt the canvas, blow the paint, and then — you watch. An Art Form Where Nothing Is Sketched First

Traditional painting starts with a line — a sketch, a shape, an idea committed to canvas before the first stroke of color. Flow painting works differently. There's no outline tracing a shoreline, no pencil marking where a wave should curl. Instead, poured acrylic paint moves freely across the surface, guided by tilt, gravity, and a little bit of chance. The image emerges rather than being drawn.

That unpredictability is exactly the point. Nature doesn't paint in straight lines either — a tide doesn't follow a ruler, and a cloud doesn't ask permission before it changes shape. Each painting in this series draws from the same coastal world that inspires our fused glass work — but where glass captures light through structure, these paintings capture it through movement.

Clearing (8" x 8") is built around negative space — soft cloud-like forms drifting across an open field of white, as if a storm just broke and the sky is finding its calm again.

Turbulent Sea (12" x 12") channels a shoreline in motion: blues, whites, and sandy tones layered the way waves layer against each other just before they break.

Abyssal Bloom (7" x 14") goes deeper — literally. Feathered, blown-paint textures suggest something glowing and alive beneath the surface, the kind of underwater phenomenon you only half-believe until you've seen it yourself.

Midnight Fan (8" x 8") takes the same flow technique into darker territory: cobalt and ice blue swirl against black, with gold threading through like bioluminescent light. The form billows outward, echoing the silhouette of a sea fan drifting in dark water.

Each listing notes its expected ship window, so there are no surprises.
